The Fluke 117 has automatic ranging which immediately selects the appropriate measurement range and resolution although the user can manually override the automatic selection if need be. The 117’s non-contact VoltAlert voltage detection enhances safety as the user is made aware of the presence of voltage before making any contact with the circuits. Data hold allows a value to be frozen on screen and there is a visual warning of dangerous voltage. There is also an option for min/max/avg recording to give a comprehensive picture of a system’s outputs in any given parameter.
